- Strategic Vision Inc.
(SVI) ranks both Jaguar and Land Rover brands as segment leaders in Total
Quality Index? (TQI)
- Range Rover earns first
place in Luxury Utility segment
- Jaguar is most improved brand
overall
The Total Quality Index? is a complete measure of the total ownership
experience. Buyers are asked to rate all aspects of their buying, owning and
driving experience. This accounts for a wide variety of aspects, including
customers' commitment to, advocacy and vehicle loyalty.
The Jaguar and Land Rover brands rated first and second place, respectively,
for the $30,000+ category, with Jaguar also being recognized as the
most-improved brand among all competitors. Range Rover scored a first place
finish in the Luxury Utility segment and notably, many other models across both
brands scored very well in their segments.
"For Jaguar and Land Rover to rank as leaders in Total Quality is validation
that we offer an exemplary entire ownership experience, from the vehicles'
quality and performance, to the buying and ownership experience," says Gary
Temple, President, Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC. "This recognition
highlights the enormous passion and pride our employees, dealers and customers
have for Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles."

IRVINE, Calif. November 11, 2008 – The 2009 Jaguar XF won a PM 2009 Automotive Excellence Award and will be featured in the December 2008 issue of Popular Mechanics. The magazine chose the year’s top vehicles in ten different categories, selecting the XF as the winner in the Luxury category.
Popular Mechanics editors praised the sedan for its balance of luxury and sport, stating that it “delivers, without being loud, crude or harsh”. The XF’s interior impressed PM with its phosphor blue interior mood lighting, rotating vents and JaguarDriveTM rising rotary gear selector. On the road, the editors found the XF to be quiet and refined at cruising speeds, but also fast and responsive when called upon.
“The solid body structure adds to the supreme quiet that occupants will appreciate,” wrote PM editors. “Moreover, the 420-hp supercharged 4.2-liter V8 is nearly silent—until you break out of your ennui and decide to wake up this cat. Soon the scenery blurs as you push the XF hard, flick those paddle shifters and let the brilliant chassis work the road. The XF is Jaguar’s best sedan ever.”
"It is an honor to receive a Popular Mechanics' Automotive Excellence Award, and I feel very proud to have led the team that designed the award-winning XF," said Ian Callum Design Director of Jaguar Cars. "We are creating a new generation of cars that started with the XK, and now continue with the XF - a four-door sedan that has the heart and soul of a sports car and the looks of a grand tourer."
Popular Mechanics selects the winners based on its year long evaluations of new models. Each of the ten awards is given based on different categories, some of which include Performance, Value, Off-Road Ability and Design. Some of the other vehicles to win awards include the Ford F-150, Volkswagen Jetta TDI, Ford Flex and BMW 135i. For more information on the awards, visit http://www.popularmechanics.com/cars2009.

Ken Garff Jaguar's Exclusive VIP XF Launch Party
Salt Lake's first glimpse of the all-new Jaguar XF
| The newest, sleekest and perhaps sexiest member of the Jaguar family of cars was unveiled to Salt Lake earlier this week. Tuesday, February 12, 2008 over 150 Jaguar enthusiasts attended a private reception. Ken Garff Jaguar hosted an invitation-only VIP party at their dealership to celebrate the arrival of the new JAGUAR XF – the fusion of sports car and luxury sedan. Cafe Trio (catering) lavished guests with wine, champagne, and delicious hors d’oeuvres while Lark & Spur entertained with eclectic jazz. The stylish new car, which will be delivered to customers starting in March of this year, may be in a class of it's own but is not without its would-be competition. The new 2009 XF is more than the traditional beautiful Jaguar automobile. The XF appeals purchaser’s buyers of both sexes and all ages. Especially those who demand top value for their money.
The 2009 Jaguar XF was designed to compete with the Mercedes E-Class, the BMW 5-Series and the Lexus BF and GF models. It also compares favorable to Lincoln’s and Cadillac’s. The most attractive features of this vehicle include the ride, the handling and the suspension, along with the absolutely gorgeous look. This car is perfect for all types of road and weather conditions and available at a very affordable price. The Dynamic Stability Control, enhanced by the winter mode button and the re-design of the automobile with about a 50-50 weight distribution between front and back, gives the 2009 XF superior handling. Dynamic Stability Control is the most measurable safety feature in automobiles today. The United States government has passed legislation making it mandatory for all American-made vehicles to have Dynamic Stability Controls by 2011. The 2009 Jaguar XF has it today. The winter mode button advances Jaguar's competitive edge by sensing and controlling throttle and transmission control. All who attended the event had an enjoyable, memorable evening to match that of the Jaguar XF. Ken Garff Jaguar would like to THANK the following companies for the involvement and support in the XF Launch Party:
